Gravitational Effects of Quantum Fields in the Interior of a Cylindrical Black Hole

چکیده

The gravitational back-reaction is calculated for the conformally invariant scalar field within a black cosmic string interior with cosmological constant. Using the perturbed metric, the gravitational effects of the quantum field are calculated. It is found that the perturbations initially weaken the singularity. This effect differs from the case of spherical symmetry (without cosmological constant) where the singularity is initially strengthened. This indicates that the behaviour of quantum effects may not be universal but instead depend on the geometry of the spacetime as well as whether or not there exists a non-zero cosmological constant. Comparison of the Accuracy of Black Hole Algorithms and Gravitational Research and the Hybrid Method in Portfolio Optimization

The main purpose of this research is portfolio optimization in Tehran securities exchange using the black hole algorithm and the Gravitational Research algorithm. We also propose an algorithm named Hybrid Algorithm which combines the two algorithms above to cover the weaknesses of these two algorithms. Finally we compare the results with the Markowitz model and choose the optimal algorithm.<br ...

Semiclassical effects in black hole interiors

First-order semiclassical perturbations to the Schwarzschild black hole geometry are studied within the black hole interior. The source of the perturbations is taken to be the vacuum stress-energy of quantized scalar, spinor, and vector fields, evaluated using analytic approximations developed by Page and others (for massless fields) and the DeWitt-Schwinger approximation (for massive fields). ...

On trapped surface formation in gravitational collapse

A class of perfect fluid collapse models is constructed to examine the final fate of a continual gravitational collapse. While the pressure could be negative in the interior of the cloud, the weak-energy condition is satisfied. The collapsing star radiates away its matter as the process of gravitational collapse evolves, so as to avoid the formation of trapped surfaces. The collapsing interior ...

Planckian Energy Scattering , Colliding Plane Gravitational Waves and Black Hole Creation

In a series of papers Amati, Ciafaloni and Veneziano and 't Hooft conjectured that black holes occur in the collision of two light particles at planckian energies. In this paper we discuss a possible scenario for such a process by using the Chandrasekhar-Ferrari-Xanthopoulos duality between the Kerr black hole solution and colliding plane gravitational waves. We clarify issues arising in the de...

Exact quantization of Einstein-Rosen waves coupled to massless scalar matter.

We show in this Letter that gravity coupled to a massless scalar field with full cylindrical symmetry can be exactly quantized by an extension of the techniques used in the quantization of Einstein-Rosen waves. This system provides a useful test bed to discuss a number of issues in quantum general relativity, such as the emergence of the classical metric, microcausality, and large quantum gravi...
